Taking Control
July 8, 2015 – It is an interesting fact that every cancer patient figures out without anyone telling them, there is a 98% chance you will lose your hair during your Chemotherapy treatments.
I AM TAKING CONTROL!!!!
I decided that I was not going to wait for it to devastate my long beautiful hair that I have had nurtured for 12 years. No Way! I had already decided to fight so I wasn’t going to let it take my hair or at least it was going to be on my terms.
If you have long hair like I did, you know how much time and conditioner it takes to maintain it but it is very much worth it. I loved my long hair but at time you will wonder what it is like to have a different style or different color, something just a little less work.
Well, I decided this was the perfect time and opportunity to get a new cut, style and color, more business like, something different. I knew exactly who I wanted to cut, style and color my hair also.
The best hair-artist in Las Vegas is not in the upscale high-end salons, not even in the casino spas…… he is at Fantastic Sam’s….. but you must call and get an appointment with Johnny because I am not the only one in Vegas that knows about him. Before he began to take appointments, people waited hours for their turn, there would be a line outside the door for them to open up…. like Black Friday…. crazy.
Thank God he now takes appointments!
I told Johnny all about the situation and in very simple terms said; I wanted to band up the hair he cut so i could keep it, other than that he was only limited to his imagination regarding the cut, style and color.. OMG, did I just say that… well I am going to leave it up to you to how well he did.
BTW, Johnny has only trimmed my hair maybe two or three times. He cuts other family members hair regularly. He didn’t have much time to figure out a style as he worked me in between two other appointments.
